  1. As of June 23, 8pm
Wave: According to forecast, the wave will reach Level 3 tomorrow morning (Wed) and weakens to Level 2 on Thursday. This is because the storm might pass at the side of Coron. At Level 3, I leave it up to my local contact to cancel the trip. But there is a possibility that boat trip could be canceled. At Level 4, I will definitely recommend boat trip cancelation. For your information and guidance.

    As of June 7, 9am
Wave: The wave would be at the 1-2m level. This will remain like this until Jun 13. Occasionally improving to 0-1m level (usual). At 2-3m level, I would have to postpone or cancel the boat trip.
Wind: A potential Low Pressure Area or Tropical Depression could be formed from China Sea on Monday June 8 and leaves on Thursday June 11.
    Take necessary precaution.

For Jun 7-13… as of Jun 6, 2009

Wind: There will be occasional strong winds. Medium strong wind is prevalent.
Wave: Medium to slight strong wave will be prevalent. Starting Monday Jun 8, wave will start getting slight strong.

    as of 10pm, May 30, 2009
Forecast tells it will be a strong wind and strong habagat wave starting May 31 to Jun 6. I am expecting storm formation from China Sea. Coron maybe hit and affected. Take necessary precaution.

  2. As of Aug 02, 2009
The wave west of Coron shows a Level 4-5, which is an automatic cancellation of boat trips for me. Level 3 is the acceptable wave level so that a boat can travel. Aug 3, UTC 21 [Aug 4, 8am MNL] shows a decrease in the wave level in the Coron area. It is decreased due to the land cover scenario. Therefore, on August 4 trip it is considered at Level 2-3, I leave to the local boatman the decision to cancel or not the boat trip.

  3. As of Aug 4, 2009 7am
The start of Level 2-3 Wave is seen on Aug 4 12 UTC. That is Aug 4, 8pm, GMT MNL. It could mean that Aug 5 boat travel could be possible with some precautions. FYI.

  4. As of Aug 6, 2009 9pm
The wave only weakens on Aug 10 06 UTC. That’s Aug 10, 2pm GMT Manila. During today until that day, the wave level range is Level 1-3. Therefore I leave it up to the boatman to decide cancellation. The range is quite big because there could be spots that is calm – this could be seen on the east part of coron island. FYI.
